Resultados científicos a la fecha (13/10/14) del Grupo de Investigación en Plasmas y sus Aplicaciones del Tecnológico de Costa Rica. Este grupo de investigación inició en setiembre del 2008.


 

En siete años de existencia se ha logrado:

 

->37 contribuciones presentadas en conferencias internacionales representando al TEC.

 

->26 diferentes conferencias internacionales donde hemos presentado trabajos científicos representando al TEC.

 

->17 artículos en revistas indexadas y con revisión por pares.

 

->27 productos científicos citados actualmente en la base de datos SCOPUS.

 

->5 artículos científicos citados en la base de datos ISI Thomson Reuters.

 

->19 Proyectos de Graduación vinculados al tema de investigación en plasmas.

 

->3 proyectos de tesis de maestría vinculados al tema de investigación en plasmas.

 

->En promedio 3,3 diferentes conferencias internacionales por año en las que representamos al TEC.

 

->En promedio 4,6 contribuciones presentadas en conferencias internacionales por año representando al TEC.

->Un Laboratorio de Investigación en plasmas de primer mundo en siete años y partiendo de nada anterior.

 

->Primer laboratorio de plasmas en Latinoamérica y uno de los pocos en el mundo que cuenta con dos dispositivos de confinamiento magnético de plasmas de tipo stellarator y tipo tokamak esférico para investigación del plasma como futura fuente de energía.

 

->Primer stellarator de Latinoamérica 100 % diseñado y construido en Costa Rica y uno de los 10 existentes en el mundo.
